automatically "shut down now" after a period of time
I occasionally restart my windows 7 remotely from VNC
The problem is that some time its stop on the shutdown window because of some application didn’t terminated (where the button "shut down now" is located) and then I'm stuck…
Example:

Can I configure windows 7 somehow to automatically force the application to close (like when you use "shut down now") after a period of time? Is there a timeout configuration somewhere?

Hi,
You can open regedit.exe, natigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control, double-click WaitToKillServiceTimeout in the right pane, change the value to 1000 (milliseconds), and click OK.
